Insta’s newest office in Lappeenranta began operations in spring 2025 with a team of three electrical and automation experts. We asked Tatu, Riku, and Toni how things have been rolling since the launch.
The thoughts below are a combination of their views on working in a small office, the team spirit, and future plans.
All three agree that the biggest strength is the close-knit and supportive team, which has come together smoothly in just a few months. In a small office, everyone naturally gets to know each other, making collaboration easy and lowering the threshold to ask for help.
"Insta’s great work community was highlighted in the job posting, and it has truly lived up to expectations. I’ve felt very welcomed!"
– Toni, Electrical Engineer
Everyone has also felt warmly welcomed into Insta more broadly. Since the Lappeenranta office is located away from Insta’s main campus, close cooperation has been essential in many practical matters – from setting up a printer to getting the office fully up and running. Over time, things have started to flow more smoothly.
In Lappeenranta, the team feels that working in a small office allows them to make an impact, and that everyone’s contribution matters in the development of daily operations.

"When I was applying, Insta caught my interest after I visited their website. It gave me the impression that this company truly cares about its employees and that Insta would be a pleasant place to work. The future outlook also seemed reasonable and promising to me. That has definitely proven to be true."
– Tatu, Project Manager
Daily work has become diverse – in Lappeenranta, you get to visit customers and take part in a wide range of projects. At Insta, collaboration across different offices is common, so even from a small location, you can be involved in large-scale projects.
Insta’s office is centrally located in Lappeenranta, making it easy to reach. There are also several lunch spots both in the same building and nearby for those who prefer eating out.

"Probably the best part is that the office is located right in the city center. In my opinion, that often makes a company more attractive than having to travel to a remote location."
– Riku, Project Engineer
Looking ahead, the team hopes to strengthen collaboration with Insta’s main office in Tampere and grow the local customer base. Visibility toward LAB University of Applied Sciences is also seen as an exciting way to reach younger talent.
There’s still room at the office for more Lappeenranta-based colleagues, and the current team hopes to grow into a larger-scale site in the future.
Riku, Toni, and Tatu warmly welcome new teammates to Lappeenranta!
