Aleksi Salmirinne, selected as the new head of the Industry business area at the diversified technology company Insta, is starting in his position in early August. Mr. Salmirinne, who has been working for years at large international industrial companies, will be responsible for Insta’s Industry business area, reporting to the CEO Tapio Kolunsarka and will also be joining the group’s Management Team.
During his career, Mr. Salmirinne has worked at Valmet and Metso in Finland and China. He joins Insta after working as VP of Energy at Valmet.

Vision and experience to speed up future growth
According to Insta’s CEO Tapio Kolunsarka, having Aleksi join Insta to lead the Industry business and speed up future growth is a wonderful opportunity. - Aleksi has strong people leadership skills, which will be key for strengthening future growth. He also brings with him experience in the energy industry, project business, financial control, and leading large organizations.
In 2024, Insta expects its net sales to grow and for profitability to remain at a good level. Insta’s growth will be propelled forward by the existing in-house product development projects such as tailor-made, strong data encryption devices, Finland’s NATO membership, the new purchases made by the Finnish Defence Forces in order to improve performance, and the Finnish industry’s investments in the green transition.

Net sales grew by more than 13% and accelerated to a new record of EUR 173.9 million. At the same time, it was Insta’s thirteenth consecutive year of growth.
Net sales for the Insta Industry business area, which focuses on services for industrial automation, electrification, and digitalization, amounted to EUR 94.6 million, an increase of 8.5% compared to the previous year. Its share of the entire group’s net sales was 54%. The know-how of this increasingly international and diversified company is being utilized in more than 50 countries.
