IPBAM is being tested in the U.S.

As part of the efforts for solving hypoxia issues across U.S. DoD fleets, the Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) program have selected Insta Pilot’s Breath Air Monitor, IPBAM as one of the products to be evaluated.

Products and technologies provided by foreign countries and with a high technological level are being tested in the program. The aim of the program is to find techniques and products to satisfy valid defense requirements quickly.

The first lab tests were executed in San Antonio August 2018. Insta got in November 2018 first orders of the products. Currently both US Airforce and US Navy are executing their flight test activities with multiple platforms. Testing program lasts one year and contains many phases. Director of the project has given only positive feedback about the product during the testing.

In the United States, hypoxia is regarded as one of the most serious risks to aviation safety. IPBAM is the world’s first device approved for operational use, which warns fighter pilots of the risk of an oxygen shortage before symptoms appear.
