Insta DefSec Oy and Combitech Oy signed a business transaction agreement through which Combitech’s SOC and SIEM business operations and their customer relationships and service-providing experts in Finland are transferred to Insta. The business operations are related to cyber security monitoring and response. They will be integrated into Insta’s cyber service centre, and the services for the end customers remain unchanged. Approval for the arrangement has been received from the customers. The business transaction enters into force on 1 September 2021.
Insta has more than 30 years of experience as a supplier of cyber security and information security solutions. Insta’s cyber service centre has provided SOC services since 2016. The Security Operations Centre (SOC) provides organisations with cyber threat monitoring and information security incident management as a service.
“This arrangement strengthens our position as a key service provider in cyber security in Finland. We are looking forward to working with the customers and employees transferring from Combitech to Insta,” says Marko Hautakangas, Vice President, Cyber Products and Services at Insta. Combitech’s experts are transferring to Insta as existing employees, and the operations are being transferred to Insta’s cyber service centre in the Sarankulma facilities in Tampere.
“We believe that this arrangement with Insta is an excellent solution and ensures the continued availability and development of services needed by customers,” says Timo Rantala, CEO of Combitech.
“We are pleased with the arrangements and our discussions with Combitech. Finding common ground was easy, because the companies have known each other for a long time,” says Henry Nieminen, CEO of Insta.
